VLBCC

These panels, utilized for the optimal operation and control of low-voltage (LV) transformer installations within the utility company’s operational sites, are designed by our specialized team using the E-Plan 5.30 software in compliance with IEC 60617 standards.

Following the mechanical assembly—carried out according to the drawings prepared by our project team—the electrical assembly phase begins. All materials used during the assembly process are of high quality and fully compliant with relevant standards.

VLBCC panels are designed for applications up to 1600 kVA—featuring either sliding or fixed busbar configurations—in accordance with the TEDAŞ MYD 006 specification. During electrical assembly, electrolytic copper busbars are selected based on total power and short-circuit current requirements and are supported at appropriate intervals in compliance with IEC 60439-1 and TS 3367 standards.

Vertical Load-Break Control Centers (VLBCC) – Frequently Asked Questions

VLBCC is a panel system that enables the safe operation and control of load-break switches in low-voltage transformer installations within the service areas of electricity distribution companies, specifically in a vertical position.

VLBCC panels are used in low-voltage (LV) transformer installations located at the operational sites of electric utility companies for the centralized control and monitoring of the system.

VLBCC panels are designed for use in applications up to 1600 kVA, in accordance with the TEDAŞ MYD 006 specification.

Both types are manufactured in accordance with the TEDAŞ MYD 006 specification; the fundamental difference lies in whether the busbar structure is fixed or sliding (movable). The choice is determined by the facility’s maintenance, expansion, and operational requirements.

The panels are designed using the E-Plan 5.30 software in accordance with the IEC 60617 standard, while electrolytic copper busbars are selected and supported in compliance with the IEC 60439-1 and TS 3367 standards.

Busbars are selected from electrolytic copper suited to the facility’s total power and potential short-circuit currents, and are supported at appropriate intervals in accordance with IEC 60439-1 and TS 3367 standards.

  • Labeling the devices within the panel and numbering the cables in accordance with the project specifications accelerates fault detection.
  • Field installation time is reduced thanks to markings, cross-references, terminal plans, and bills of materials prepared using the E-Plan design software.
  • Manufacturing in compliance with TEDAŞ specifications ensures regulatory conformity for distribution companies.

Based on the drawings prepared by the project team, the process proceeds first to mechanical assembly and then to electrical assembly; all materials used meet high quality standards.

VLBCC is specifically designed for load-break switch control in low-voltage transformer substations operated by electricity distribution utilities; MCC is used for motor control, while PCC and MPCC are distinct product families utilized for general power distribution.
