In motor control centers (MCCs), withdrawable system technology offers numerous advantages, particularly in industries requiring faults to be resolved without interrupting the process (e.g., chemical industries or water treatment plants).
Withdrawable modules are easily installed and removed. Conventional wiring is not used in withdrawable systems. They are user-friendly, both visually and practically.
- It features a highly secure switching system. Even in the event of a short circuit, control contacts can switch currents up to 630A.
- In the event of a fault, withdrawable modules can be quickly replaced or added without requiring system shutdown.
- Power is transmitted to the contact modules via non-shielded contacts. * Installed fully withdrawable modules can be locked in the “run,” “test,” and “open circuit” positions.
- They are protected against misuse by safety locking mechanisms.
- Standard configurations include 3- or 4-pole withdrawable modules with 125A, 315A, and 630A options.
- Compared to compact modules, they offer a more economical and efficient solution.
PREMIUM-X panels were developed in accordance with IEC 61439-2 Low Voltage Switchgear Systems. They have a modular structure and include mounting types compatible with ABB, Legrand, Eaton, Schneider, and Siemens switchgear products. They allow for switchgear installation with all accessories, according to the horizontal and vertical mounting types in the product ranges of the aforementioned switchgear manufacturers.
With our specially designed profile structure consisting of 27 bends, our PREMIUM-X cabins offer our customers many advantages in terms of quality and ease of installation.
- PREMIUM-X cabinets are among our upright system solutions. Single-module solutions are available for depths of 400, 600, 800, and 1000 mm. Double-module systems are used for greater depths.
- Modules offer various width options, including 300, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 mm, and heights of 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, and 2200 mm.
- Different protection classes are available, ranging from IP31, IP43, IP55, and IP65.
Cabin Structure:
- Our specially designed Premium-XW cabinets offer our customers numerous advantages in terms of quality and ease of installation.
- This profile structure provides maximum strength and rigidity.
- Despite its modular structure, the profile’s sealing channels provide protection up to IP55.
- Thanks to this modular structure, Premium-XW cabinets can be shipped flat-packed as unassembled items.
- The profile system enables door hinges, cabinet connections, and rear and side door fastening operations to be completed with a single product.
- In addition to all this, they offer an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Advantages of the Switching Principle
The Contact Module’s technical principle, unlike the traditional connection method, is “switching.” Unlike a plug-in connection, this switching principle eliminates material wear and tear, which underpins the system’s key advantages.
When the MCC is in the “operational” position, the contact module provides transmission from the field distribution busbar to the cable outlets via a control connection that can be extended in the field.
When in the “open circuit” position, the switching contacts and control contacts are retracted, allowing the drawer module to be removed from the equipment compartment.
Technical Details
- The field distribution busbar is integrated between the equipment and cable compartments, with arc fault protection. Its internal compartmentation (up to Form 4) ensures a high level of personal and work safety.
- Cable entry into the cable terminal compartment is possible from above and below. Apertures and modules are designed based on a 25 mm grid according to DIN 43660 (25 mm = 1 module).
- Standard modules are in 75 mm height groups (3 modules). 3/6/9/12 module types are available. The preferred width for the equipment compartment is 600 mm.
- The system is type-tested to 50 kA, 1 sec, in accordance with IEC 60439.
