PREMIUM-XW: The New Standard in High Performance, Durability, and Reliability!

Fully withdrawable MCC technology represents the latest innovation in GVD’s leading range of low-voltage switchgear.

Premium-XW fully withdrawable systems feature a user-friendly design and a secure interlocking mechanism. This design prevents misuse and maximizes system safety, enabling you to manage your electrical panels securely by combining advanced technology with an aesthetic design.

The withdrawable modules of the Premium-XW can be easily inserted and removed, eliminating the need for the complex wiring associated with conventional connection systems. Its technological design minimizes material wear, ensuring a long service life.

Technical Specifications of the Drawer System:

Modular Structure: Each drawer is configured to manage a specific function (e.g., motor control, fuse circuit, power factor correction, etc.).

Standard Sizes: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and full-size drawers can be arranged according to requirements, with various height options available.

High Load Capacity: Each drawer has undergone thermal testing based on its rated current.

Three-Position Mechanism:

  • Service (Operation) Position
  • Test Position
  • Isolation (Disconnected) Position

Each drawer is supported by a mechanical system for easy access.

Safety Equipment: Mechanical interlocking, arc-blocking contacts, and control circuit safety systems ensure maximum user safety.

Ease of Use:

Plug-and-Play Principle: Each drawer is ready for use once integrated into the main system. It requires no complex wiring.

Tool-Free Replacement: Thanks to a specially designed rail system, the user can easily remove or install the drawer.

Front Panel Access: All drawers are accessible from the front panel, eliminating the need to walk behind the cabinet.

Color-Coded Indicators and Labels: Drawer positions can be clearly monitored visually.

Advantages of the Drawer System:

Uninterrupted Power: A faulty drawer can be removed and replaced without cutting off system power. This feature is particularly advantageous for critical facilities (hospitals, data centers, production lines).

Ease of Maintenance: Modules that are faulty or require periodic inspection can be quickly removed from the system. There is no need to take the entire panel out of service.

Space Efficiency: Its compact design allows multiple drawer modules to be installed in a single panel.

Reduced Risk of Error: Installing pre-tested modules into the drawers minimizes potential errors that could occur during field wiring and commissioning.

Easy Backup: Spare drawers can be kept ready for frequently used or critical modules. Replacements can be made within minutes if necessary.

Situations Where It Provides Advantages:

In Case of Faults: Solutions are achieved with minimal service time by addressing only the relevant drawer, without shutting down the entire system.

In Systems Requiring Frequent Changes: Functional modules used for motor control, automation, or other applications can be easily replaced.

In Applications Requiring High Energy Continuity: Systems such as data centers, critical production lines, or public infrastructure must remain accessible while operational. Drawer-based systems meet this requirement in the safest manner.

During Testing and Commissioning: Functional checks can be performed by operating each drawer in the “test position.” Fault diagnosis can be carried out without cutting power to the system.

In Facilities Requiring Expansion and Upgrading: When adding a new circuit or load, the system can be expanded with new drawers without replacing the entire panel.

Usage – Operation and Maintenance Process:

Installation: The drawer is secured to the system using a rail structure. Main and auxiliary contacts engage automatically based on the selected position.

Position Selection:

  • In the Service position, power is applied, and the module operates.
  • In the Test position, only auxiliary circuits are active, allowing for functional checks.
  • In the Isolated position, all connections are disconnected.

Maintenance: The relevant drawer is removed from the system, and the faulty component or equipment is replaced while the module is outside the unit. A replacement module is installed, moved to the Service position, and the system is reactivated.

Control and Monitoring: Status monitoring can be performed using indicators, thermal relays, and protection modules.
